The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has developed a guidance document to help food supplement producers and food businesses assess the safety of probiotics used in their products.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued 92 enforcement orders to businesses for breaches of food safety legislation in 2023, an increase of 19 percent from the 77 enforcement orders served in 2022.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland recently published an audit report that focused on food businesses’ levels of compliance with food law as it relates to traceability and labeling for meat products.

In 2020, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) investigated almost 50 unregistered food businesses, which is more than double the amount from 2019. 

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has identified three areas for research: emerging food safety risks, food chain vulnerability assessments, and fresh produce traceability.
