The Consumer Goods Forum’s Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has opened a new stakeholder consultation for the FSSC 22000 Version 6 standard, which was launched in April 2023.
FSSC schemes are intended to support the consumer goods industry in implementing effective management systems, protecting brands, and achieving food safety targets. The FSSC Foundation aims to help organizations contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). FSSC 22000 certifications comprises three components: ISO 22000, the relevant PRP specification/s (ISO/TS standards and BSI PAS), and the FSSC Additional Requirements.
Stakeholder consultations are an important step of the GFSI Benchmarking process. The consultation is open until May 24, 2024.
